 Another wine from Indonesia? To date, I have only known those from Hatten. Now the group behind Dimatique has built a winery on the island of Bali named Cape Discovery. The first release will be a Sauvignon Blanc from the Margaret River. The trick? If you bring in unfermented must you pay no duty on the imported 'wine', which at about seven Euros a bottle is not unsubstantial. They are already talking about a goal of producing several hundred thousand cases a year! Hatten move over! More in this space after my next trip down this way. Comments
