The rise of Asian sommeliers

Click For Large ViewI am often impressed at not only how professional, but also how knowledgeable some Asian sommeliers can be, especially given the fact that few of them have had the opportunity to travel as widely as their European counterparts. At a Pio Cesare presentation at the Intercontinental near the COEX, I met their sommelier Kyung-ja (Corinne) Eom. Young, intense and highly focused, she appears to have the "right stuff". Stop by for a drink if you're ever in Seoul! The view from the 34th floor is also lovely. Comments
