I was surprised to see that Burgundian growers turn out personally in troves to show their new vintage to the British trade. This year 2010 was on the books. Often the venues themselves are worth the detour. Corney and Barrow's event with a baker's dozen well-known estates was at the Armouries in the Tower of London - and this was only one of numerous similar tastings. London in January has more to offer than Paris. Comments
